What I offer
I offer structured Business English training and intercultural seminars to businesses here in Germany. All English trainings are online via Teams unless otherwise arranged. They are tailored to meet the participants’ exact needs, and typically meet 90 minutes once a week.
Intercultural trainings can also take place via Teams, but usually they are conducted at your office or in the comfort of your own home on a full day basis.
My method is enjoyable yet challenging, and combines over 30 years of experience on three continents. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business (Finance) and an M.A. in Adult Education (English training & culture).
Who am I?
Hello, my name is Steve, and I’m a self-employed American teacher here in Germany. I’m one of those fortunate people who really enjoys his job. I’ve been training business people throughout Germany for the past 24 years in Business English and American business culture.
With two degrees and a multitude of business experience, I feel fully equipped to do my job well. I earned my bachelor´s degree in Business (B.B.A. Finance) in 1986 and my M.A. in English Training & Culture in 1999. I have lived for extended periods on three different continents and in 7 world class cities.
My initial career focused on finance in Chicago, with jobs in banking, brokering and investment analysis. With a shift in interests in the early 90s, I moved to Japan and started my English teaching career. After receiving my Master´s degree in Seattle, I moved to Frankfurt in 2000 and have resided here ever since.
I have taught people from many industries over the years, though primarily in the automotive or banking sector, as well as marketing & PR, HR and insurance. It is my passion to bring people further in their careers and help them succeed. I have high expectations of my participants and strive to create an enjoyable, trusting and challenging atmosphere conducive to learning. Learning is an active process, and my job is to get you engaged.
